March 2009 - Natasha Richardson's Funeral

We were deeply honored to have had our Claddagh Mahogany coffin selected by Natasha Richardson's family following her recent tragic and untimely death.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Liam Nesson, his sons Micheál and Daniel and all of Natasha's famliy and friends. Ar dheis De go raibh a Anam dhilis (Gaelic for May She Rest in Peace).

The Galway mahogany coffin features the carved Claddagh, an ancient and iconic Irish symbol representing Love, Loyalty & Friendship.
Natasha is brought to her final resting place.

Heritage Coffin Co., LLC has announced that from today the company has changed its name to Heritage Casket, LLC.

Heritage President, John Finlay commented: "We believe that with the continued integration of our product into US funeral homes this rebranding will help to better reflect how we have adapted to the changing nature of the US funeral market."

Heritage Casket plan to launch a reconfigured product range in the summer of 2009, which will form a key element of the company's newly announced Strategic Alliance with Matthews International.

Heritage Casket and Matthews International announce details of a Strategic Alliance.

The Strategic Alliance provides for the marketing and distribution of a new line of Heritage memorial products, which will be jointly launched in the summer of 2009. This new Heritage Tributes line will include products such as caskets and cremation urns.

Plans are to roll this new line out across Matthews International North American sales territories from the Summer of 2009. Heritage products will initially be available in the New England, New York and New Jersey areas with a phased roll out at dates to be announced.
